THE V-BED FLAT KNITTING MACHINE

A V-bed flat knitting machine is a type of knitting machine widely used in the textile industry. It features two flat needle beds arranged in an upside-down “V” shape. These needle beds can be up to 2.5 meters wide and are equipped with double-headed latch needles. The machine uses a carriage, also known as a Cambox or Head, which moves back and forth across the needle beds to perform knitting actions like knitting, tucking, or transferring stitches.

This machine is highly versatile, allowing for complex stitch designs, shaped knitting, and precise width adjustments. However, it operates at a slower speed compared to circular knitting machines. It’s commonly used to produce various knitted products, including cardigans and even seamless garments.
